Yous “Fitfulness” After-School

A playful, structured blend of fitness + yoga + mindfulness so kids build strong bodies and calm, confident minds.

For Kindergarten–2nd grade, limited to 20 spots at Trinity Church (2212 Spruce St).

The Fusion of Fitfulness

Yous Fitfulness (fitness+mindfulness) classes brings kids’ fitness, yoga, and mindfulness to kids ages 1+. Through engaging movement, stillness, and play, kids develop focus, resilience, and a positive relationship with their bodies and minds.

Fitness

At Yous, every class begins with making fitness fun! Kids engage in developmentally-appropriate games that emphasize teamwork and foundational exercises such as running, jumping, burpees, and planks. Our consistent programming nurtures positive body awareness, fosters a lasting exercise habit, enhances cardiovascular strength, and introduces the concept of perseverance. All of this is done under the guidance of our supportive and knowledgeable instructors.

Yoga

Following the energetic and heart-stimulating activities, the class transitions into recovery with yoga. Kids love yoga at Yous! Our sessions are engaging and challenging for all ages. Each lesson includes restful restorative postures followed by an active yoga series. Your child will learn about breath control, flexibility, various postures, and techniques for calming the mind.

Meditation

Finally, kids learn to practice mindfulness, a proven method for bringing calm and focus to their development. Kids naturally take to meditation, which enhances their focus, awareness, and meta-cognition.

All You Need to Know

Driven by a vision to make fitness joyful and mindfulness accessible, our founder set out to empower children.

Mon-Fri, Mon Aug 24th 2026 - Tues June 8th, 2027. (No program on PSD holidays, in-service days, or half-days.) The program sign up is seasonally for Fall and separately for Winter+Spring.

3:00–6:00 PM, with rolling pickup 5:00–6:00 PM.

$324/day billed every 4 weeks (applied in the first 4-week cycle). Auto-billed [monthly/every 4 weeks] through the season. Since the first months payment is fulfilled via deposit, automatic billing will begin the week of classes for 9/21/26.

Yes—Albert Greenfield (2:50 PM) and Marian Anderson (3:20 PM) with a supervised walk to Trinity and free healthy snack on arrival.

We cap enrollment at 20 students total. Once full, we open a waitlist and contact families as spots open.

“Fitfulness” = fitness + mindfulness. Our curriculum blends fitness fundamentals, yoga, and mindfulness so kids build strong bodies and calm, confident minds.

A fun mix of age-appropriate movement games, strength & agility, and mind–body practices:

  • Movement games: running, jumping, jump rope, relay-style tag, obstacle courses
  • Strength & agility: planks, squats, lunges, mountain climbers, “heavy work” (safe pushes/pulls/carries)
  • Sports skills: coordination, balance, footwork, catching/throwing basics
  • Yoga & mindfulness: kid-friendly poses, breathwork, guided stillness/meditation
  • Teamwork & character: cooperation, kindness, co-regulation, pushing through adversity

Thinking skills: decision making, strategic thinking, problem-solving
Every session scales to each child’s level—challenging, safe, and genuinely fun.

Yes, typically on snow days the Yous ASP program will be running. Special exceptions for closure may be made for particularly inclement weather.

Approximately 6:1 so every child gets individual attention.

Yes. All coaches complete an FBI background check, PA Child Abuse, PA Criminal, and NSOR clearances, and follow Yous safety protocols.

Coach Pete (Founder & Head Coach) + Support Coaches

Coach Pete runs every session and brings the steady energy that defines Yous. After teaching 1,000+ classes in the past three years—and a daily routine of fitness, yoga, and two hours of meditation—he keeps tuning our program so every child is supported on their Fitfulness path. 

 

Coach Sam (Assistant Coach)

Coach Sam has been with Yous since April and personally leads 3 Yous school programs. She’s also an experienced musician—piano, guitar, flute, and voice—so expect occasional music-infused activities and feel-good jams!

Yes—with communication. Share your child’s needs in advance so we can plan supports. For 1:1 aides, we’ll coordinate with you.

First months deposit must be paid for your child's spot in the program to be held. After registration, families will receive an email with payment link & term & conditions.

Sign up is seasonal therefore initial sign up if for the Fall 2026 Yous ASP program running Aug - Dec. During winter/spring cycle you are welcome to continue on or change the amount of days your child attends.

Yes—tuition is [prorated by the remaining weeks/4-week cycle] for mid-start enrollments.

100% refunds for cancellations before 6/1/26, after which we'll offer a 50% refund until the starting day of your child's after school program in August.

To keep groups consistent and supportive, we don’t offer drop-ins or trial classes.

Pickup ends at 6:00 PM. [$10 per 5 minutes after 6:00 PM]

If PSD closes or severe weather makes travel unsafe, we’ll notify families by email and text.
