FAQ
Fitfulness is Yous’ fusion of fitness, yoga, and meditation for kids. We use game-based training to build strength and coordination, yoga flows to improve mobility and balance, and kid-friendly meditation to teach focus, calm, and emotional regulation.
We teach preschool through middle school. Activities are scaled by age and ability so every child feels challenged and successful.
Families report gains in strength, coordination, focus, confidence, self-awareness, and a positive relationship with challenge. Kids learn practical tools to self-regulate at school, in sports, and at home.
Yes—our curriculum blends principles from youth strength & conditioning, Iyengar-informed alignment, and mindfulness practices shown to support attention and emotional regulation in children. We translate the science into fun, game-based sessions kids love.
Classes progress Fitness → Yoga → Meditation: dynamic warm-ups and games, playful yoga flows and balance work, then short guided practices (breathing, noticing, gratitude/visualization) to close.
School classes run 30–60 minutes with 8–20 kids (age-dependent). Private and small-group sessions for families typically run 45–60 minutes.
We run in-school and after-school programs, community sessions, and private family lessons across Philadelphia and nearby suburbs. We come to schools, gyms, community centers, homes, and parks.
Yes. We work with families for 1:1 and small groups (siblings/friends). It’s a great option for custom goals or specific schedules.
We offer trial classes for schools interested in starting a program.
Coaches are trained in our Fitfulness curriculum, experienced with kids, and hold background clearances; many maintain CPR/First Aid certifications. We emphasize safety, positive coaching, and age-appropriate progressions.
We teach proper form, use scalable progressions, and design spaces with clear lanes and soft zones. Coaches always demonstrate and often lead movement games, actively cueing and spotting as needed.
Yes. Tell us about your child’s needs (e.g., injury recovery, ADHD/sensory needs) and we’ll adapt movements, pacing, and roles so they can participate confidently.
Comfortable athletic clothes and closed-toe sneakers. Bring a water bottle; we provide all equipment. If outdoors, add layers/sunscreen as needed.
We confirm indoor spaces or reschedule when outdoor conditions aren’t safe. Families are notified by text/email.
For school programs we follow the site’s policy. For private lessons, please cancel 24 hours in advance to avoid a charge; we’ll do our best to reschedule make-ups.
Pricing varies by program type (in-school, after-school, private). Contact us for current rates and packages—we offer multi-session options and small-group pricing for families.
We partner with schools and community organizations on funding and occasionally offer scholarship/discount options when available. Ask about current opportunities.
Reach out via our In-School or After-School page with your goals and schedule. We’ll align sessions with PE standards and SEL objectives, handle staffing/equipment, and provide a free trial class to every interested school to experience Fitfulness firsthand.
We serve many neighborhoods city-wide and nearby suburbs. Tell us your location—Center City, Northwest, West, South, Northeast, Main Line, etc.—and we’ll share availability.
We run summer sessions and partner camps. Join the list to get dates and locations early.
Send a note through Contact/Book Now with your child’s age, location, and goals (or your school’s details). We’ll recommend the best class, package, or school program and get you scheduled.
